creating miracles of healing

Hi again and Divine blessings to you,
I had a wonderful memory this morning of an event I am so proud of that I would love to share with you.
In 1995 I went to Moscow to teach my healing techniques at a conferenc there. It was a beautiful experience to meet other healers from Russia and around the world.
I was asked by a man who had been teaching and counseling in Columbia, South America to run a workshop with him to help bring healing to the hearts of Russia men and women. I was excited to do this.

Since it was June summer time it wa light there until about 2 or 3 am. We ran our workshop from 11 pm to 2 am and had a couple hundred Russian men and women present.
I gathered all the women and with an interpreter present we began to talk to them and they shared with me quite openly deep issues affecting them; primarily  how they felt about the men.
My colleague was doing the same with the men.
It was interesting that the women all felt fearful of the men especially when they would drink alcohol.
The men felt the women did not listen to them.
I asked the women to come up with a few ideas of something loving they could do with the men to help heal the fear and open their hearts.
They asked that the men sit in a circle and close their eyes and we would each go around the outside of the circle and gently massage the mens shoulders and stroke their hair and whisper loving messages in their ears.

It was so beautiful, words cannot express how much love was in the room.

It was then the mens turn. They had us do the same and came into the center  of our circle and sang love songs in Russian to us. After that they came around and whispered in our ears. I had such goosebumps.
When it was done we all hugged and what I felt was if this could be done all around the world there would not be any wars and their would be so much more peace and harmony
I felt so blessed to have been able to facilitate and participate

We can make such a difference in this world in such simple ways.

Namaste

Letting go of guilt

Welcome to my blog page
I have always been aware of where emotions were blocked in my body and in others as well. You might say I am an emotional intuititve. This has been the main focus in my healing work with others
When we do not express how we are feeling and we push it down, we end up getting sick. I have seen this time and time again. It is so important to get in touch with how we are feeling and release it
Guilt is one of the emotions that does not serve us at all. It only causes us to have low self esteem, low energy and ill health. It definately affects our ability to feel joyful.
In my experience working with thousands of people over the past 24 years that so many of us are still holding on to things we feel guilty about from the past.
Take a moment to think about if there is anything you feel guilty about?
Where are you holding guilt in your body?
When we feel guilty about something that has happened, it keeps us in the past takes us out of enjoying the  present!
Take the time to get in touch with anything you may feel guilty about and practice releasing it and forgiving your self.
Replace the guilt with self love and self acceptance and you will have more energy, feel better and have more joy.

I would love to hear your stories. Here is to a GUILT FREE LIFE!!!!

Till next time

what is your story

Hi and blessings
Been thinking alot about this theme as it is my topic for our Sunday Spiritual Gathering this week
This can have so many meanings and I can write many different articles on this title
What I want to talk about today is what story are you carrying from the past that no longer serves you?

It is so easy to get caught up in talking and sharing about the same thing all the time. Maybe it is how unhappy we are at work, or someone did something to us we did not like, or how lonely we are, or how we do not have enough money....
Stop for a moment and contemplate on this...is there a story you have been telling alot that is not allowing it to change?
Our ego loves the drama of it all....
How about making up a new story to tell????
What would that be?
Make it something you want and something that is positive and uplifting, then put your energy and focus into that and see what starts to emerge.
Whatever we focus on and put our emotional energy into is what we create.
So if we are putting alot of energy toward an old belief or thought, this is what will continue to manifest.

The wonderful part is that we can change things in an instant as long as we are aware of our thoughts and projections....

As Esther and Jerry Hicks and Abraham says: you can either paddle upstream or downstream and go with the flow...let go of the oars and go with the flow

Create a new positive story today and change your life for the better!!!

Laurie's 7 steps for living life more passionately

Hi
I wanted to share with you my 7 steps for living life more passionately
They are from my book, Spiritual Medicine, ENJOY and share this with your friends and loved ones!

Step one- Dont take things to seriously - Laugh more at situations and at yourself. This is very healthy medicine. Life was not meant to be taken too seriously

Step two - Give yourself permission to express how you are feeling? Do not stuff down your emotions. If we do not express how we feel, our bodies will express it for us - Keep your self healthy and get your emotions out  in whatever way you can -for example: write it down, speak it out, draw how you feel, dance it, sing it, yoga it out, exercise it out etc....

Step three - Do something loving for your self each day. Remember to acknowledge and love you on a daily basis and then share this with others. Take time to take care of your spirit, body, mind and soul each day. Meditate, be still, go in nature, be creative, pray, have fun, feed your self healthy food, smell the flowers, plant a veggie garden or just get your hands in the dirt, move your body...

Step four - Have an attitude of gratitude. Feel grateful for all you have right now. Feel grateful for you, for your body, for the roof over your head and for all those that you love and that love you. Feel grateful for all the little things we can so easily take for granted.

Step five - You are a powerful creator - become aware of the thoughts you think and the words you speak. Your thoughts and beliefs create your life. Take control of your thoughts Now and change them.
Focus on what you want instead of what  you don't want.

Step six - Speak your truth and express what you need to say with compassion. Do not come from blame but speak your truth from how you are feeling - I feel.....when this happens I feel...

Step seven - Do work that you enjoy, are passionate and that makes you happy and gives you energy and ignites your spirit. Enjoy each and every moment. If  you are not currently loving what you are doing, ask yourself what you need to do to turn that around and start enjoying it. - Be of service to another or to a charity or organization. This also helps to ignite your spirit...

I would love to  hear from you

Letting Go

Hi and Happy Day to you
This topic of Letting go is so big and I could write a book just on this subject.
As human beings it can be so challenging to let go. This can involve so many things such as; letting go of what "SHOULD" have been, letting go of a dream or wanting something to be a certain way and it is not, letting go of a relationship that is no longer working, letting go of job, letting go of someone who has passed away or just letting go of fear and worry...
I wanted to specifically share something very personal to me with you. I have someone in my life that has always been like my best friend. This person is my mother, Sylvia. She is the most beautiful, loving soul. I have always been able to share everything with my mom until the last few years. You see my mom has alzheimers. She still knows us, but it is different. She is not the person I knew, so my letting go is letting go of the mother I always knew and to embrace, unconditionally love and accept my mom as she is now.
The grief I feel inside is undescribable. It is always there, has moments of coming to the surface but the enormity of it is real and palpable.
My letting go process involves letting go of grief  and letting myself acknowledge and feel it - rather than stuff it down into my body.
I know for so many of us it is so much easier to just push the feelings down. This only causes ill health and pain. Have the courage to share what is happening for you in whatever way suits you best....

A wonderful affirmation is:
I am willing each day to let go, release the emotions, begin to accept and embrace what is - with love, courage and inner peace.

AND DO IT IS...

Thank you and abundant blessings, Laurie

Are you missing out on life?

Hi and blessings
I am so reminded each moment how very precious life is
And if we are holding any unforgiveness or focusing on the past and not on now, we are MISSING OUT on LIFE
This is it, It is up to each one of us to be the master of our thoughts and reactions.
Take time to go into reflection and to ask if you are holding any past grudges or hurts from the past.
Take the time to write it down and to go into your heart and ask for forgiveness and begin to forgive yourself and others. It is never too late to do this. Do it regularly. It is the healthiest diet we can give ourselves.
What is done is done. All we can really do now is live fully and joyfully in each moment.
Smell the roses, look at the sunsets and sunrises in awe of the magnificience of SPIRIT and LIFE all around

How much of life we loose and cannot get back when we stay focused on what could have been or what should have happened or maybe I will be happier with another partner or a slimmer body, or what if I had made that decision instead of this one.  STOP!!!

RELEASE AND LET GO of the guilt, regret, fear, remorse...It does not serve any of us. It only causes more pain and blockages.

FREE YOUR MIND NOW
Go into gratitude for all you have in your life and for the blessings that are always there.
ENJOY THIS MOMENT
Do something to be in this present moment - take a walk, hold a flower in your hand and look at the beauty of it, call a friend, ask for a hug, take a long bath, watch a funny movie.....choose something

I would love to hear from you
Life is precious
Make each moment count
Count your BLESSINGS

Ego versus SPIRIT

Hi and blessings to you
Have you ever noticed that when things go differently than what you think and what the ego thinks SHOULD happen it starts to scream and have what can look like a tantrum
This is good....it is pushing the boundaries
Have you ever experienced not feeling well and the internal struggle between being still and doing things?
The Ego says " You should be doing something and our BEING says good, stop, breathe, rest and be still.
This is actually such a important time to go within and just be with ourselves. This is the time we can get wonderful messages from our HIGHER SELF and SPIRIT....
Our daily practice is to learn how to create more balance between the need to do and the need to BE.
Let go of making things right or wrong...
Everything is unfolding in such a DIVINE Way...

What if you truly knew this...How different would your life be?

A wonderful blessing and affirmation is:
I am grateful for this moment and the opportunity to stop and practice BEING
I celebrate each moment and each breath I take
I know that all my needs are always met and all is unfolding in a Divine Way for me now
AND SO IT IS

Would love to hear from you

life situations as metaphors for something greater....

Hi Again
It is always interesting to look at things that happen in our life each day as a metaphor.
Today my husband and I took our motor boat out on the lake we live on. It was such a beautiful day. The water was still; just like glass. The sky was so clear and blue. The birds we diving into the water to get fish and it felt so good to be alive.
All was going smoothly until the motor just stopped. We thought maybe it got some seaweed in it. Low and behold it had stopped because it was out of fuel.
There we were in the middle of this large lake not moving. We radioed for help and after about 20 minutes we were towed back to where we started.
I started to think about the metaphor for this experience and what came to mind was how we push ourselves and to do not pay attention to when we are out of GAS/PETROL. All of a sudden we find ourselves stopped and having to be still and BE instead of always doing. We are forced to go within....
I know that was so when I found out I had cancer. I had been pushing myself for years and did not listen to the signs my body was giving me and then all of a sudden I had to STOP!!!!

Take the time to listen, go within, fill your cup up before you run out of petrol
The messages are always there. All we have to do is to pay more attention to them and to ourselves.

All we had to do today to avoid running out of petrol in our boat was to check that there was enough in the tank...
How simple is that!!!!

Till the next time
